MacroMonday: Meadow Spider

One beautiful day last summer, I just plopped myself down in the middle of my meadow and started looking around me.   I noticed this one grass was shaped funny, and when I turned it over, this is what I found.

I identified it, once, but it's on my home pc.
Anyone tell me what it is?

My meadow, although a hill, is 2.5 acres of wet meadow and contains some of the most interesting things.
I enjoy picking blueberries, blackberries, and cranberries.  I even have my own patch of wintergreen!

Oh, how gorgeous! Clever little thing to bend the grass like that to spin her web between. And you did a great job in photographing it, too!

I don't know the species, but I suspect you're not in the UK.

what an awesome spider! and his web is pretty neat too, like a little bird's nest almost. Love it. Not sure what kind of spider he is, but he's pretty cool looking, good eye!

Thank you all for visiting my blog today and for your comments. No, I'm not in the UK, but in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. I take lots of pictures, and every once in awhile, I get a little lucky! ~ks

Cool spider. These critters are much under-appreciated. She looks quite a bit like Araneus trifolium, Shamrock Orbweaver, but not positive.

Yes, yes, Treebeard! Thank you! I have it identified on my home computer and that's just what I thought, too! Thank you for reminding me! ~ks
