I have posted about my kayaking excursions to Fuller's River here and here. Today I had an opportunity to take a few photos from a another location to give a different prospective of the area.
This is all marsh, much to this harrier's delight!
Toward the left,
center stage,
toward the right.
You can see the tidal canals interlaced throughout the marsh.
And this is but a small portion!
Today, hidden within the depth of these tall grasses,
there were about a dozen or more Great Blue Herons.
The Yellow-legs, plovers, and sandpipers spent the afternoon
dodging the pair of harriers that were relentless in their hunting.
We were there for several hours, and so were they!
This is my world!
You can see why I return to this spot over and over again.

What a wonderful place. That would be ideal for the heron and other birds. Marshes are so important to the wildlife.
This looks like a great place to birdwatch, nice photos.
Looking at these beautiful pictures reminds me of a maze. You are so blessed to be able to spend time enjoying the beautiful gifts of nature. I can see why you would spend several hours observing the birds.
It certainly is a spot I would return to often. Do have one question: any problems with mosquitos? Thanks for sharing. Nola

Seen on My World Tuesday
this looks like my fishing hole. There are lots of places like this in Florida.
I love places like this. With lots of birds in it. :)
Karen: Definitely a beautiful place to visit.
Super location and just my 'cup of tea' ... if I had wings I'd fly in tomorrow. FAB.
