A Little Imagery

A Little Bit of Imagery

Close your eyes and imagine this.
No, you'd better not close your eyes,
or you can't read what's next!

Your sitting quietly at the shore,
enjoying a picnic lunch with your children,
when all of a sudden
a dog comes out of nowhere
and he's approaching rather quickly,
teeth bared, the hair on its back raised.
In that one instant,
just how does that make you feel?

Now, try to imagine you are a little bird, instead
Or a doe on the fringe with her young.

Uncontrolled dogs are becoming common along our wild shores.
And people don't seem to understand why it is important
to keep their dogs controlled,
I don't know,
like maybe

Forget that it's the law.

Hear Hear Karen
We have a heck of a problem over here, and if you say anything you just get a load of verbal abuse.
And the dog mess is unbelievable.

Sometimes some people learn the hard way.

Hi Karen...I just get so mad when I hear a dog owner who thing there should not be tied and leashed ..they need to run free..."ya sure"!!
Then they get real mad at the person who's car hits "there dog" worry about who could get killed because of there dog!!
Then like you said dog would never bite so let then run free on the beach!!
Unfortunately some dogs don't deserve to belong to there owners who is at fault!!

We also have leash laws here and a lot of people do keep their dogs on leash. But for those who don't and also fail to clean up after their animals think it's ok if their dog leaves his stuff on your lawn, where you walk, etc. They just don't get it---unleashed dogs can be aggressive and cleaning up after them shouldn't be my job! I haven't been a dog owner for many years. It's not because I don't like dogs. I really do. I just don't have the time or desire to take a dog for walks several times a day and clean up its mess like it should be done. Most people like being dog owners. It's just that many of them don't like owning up to their responsibilities to the pets. The effort and the stink are a little too real. Where's the fun in that?
